McCormick Place Bird and Butterfly Sanctuary, Chicago, Illinois
Discovered a new wildlife sanctuary on Chicago’s lakefront, just south of McCormick Place. It appears to be constructed on top of an existing underground parking structure, thus qualifying it as both a wildlife sanctuary and a green roof project. Despite the heat and humidity, the native Illinois prairie plants were in amazing shape.
This image was shot on Ilford Delta 400 black and white negative film using an Olympus XA 35mm rangefinder camera. Scanned on an Epson V750-M Pro using Silverfast Ai Studio and processed in Silverfast HDR Studio. Going to make a couple 6×9 test prints from this and see how it stacks up next to Kodak Tri-X.
